Stephen Aslin is raising money for the Grenfell Foundation, embarking on a round-the-world solo bike ride to support the cause and raise awareness. He will begin his 30,000 mile challenge on the 8th anniversary of the fire on the 14 June. We wish him the best of luck and are very grateful to him and his efforts to keep Grenfell in the public’s hearts and minds. You can track Steve on his journey here.

The government has announced that Grenfell Tower would be demolished and works will begin in June 2025. This is a very sensitive issue for bereaved families, the survivors and the local community. It also means this year’s anniversary could be the last one with the Tower still standing.

The Grenfell Public Inquiry has published its second and final report. This marks the end of the Public Inquiry and the lengthy process to find out exactly what happened that night and the series of events leading up to it. Sir Martin Moore-Bick found that “every single death was preventable'‘ and that families were “failed at every level”.
